Hey guys first post here,

just got my hands on a vintage MARK II today, just wondering the worth on it.

Slight humidity damage on the hands and dial but all factory besides the bezel which was changed by Omega during a service I believe.

Thanks in advance

You might try looking at SOLD listings on eBay.

Interesting that the Omega service didn't attend to the case?

I've seen the non-black bezel fs on EBay in the past; it's a fine colour.

Interesting combo; I assume you are aware that the bezel / plexi in this shade of burgundy red is supposed to be fitted on the gold plated (or capped) cousin of this Mark II? Either way, that's an easy fix and at the right price, a Mark II with a racing dial like this one could certainly make an interesting watch.

Hi, welcome to the forum. Each to their own but personally I wouldn’t consider the watch to be appealing - too many issues/ inconsistencies such as has been already called out re the glass and bezel and the case has also lost all its definition. Does it run/ need a service? Condition is so important when appraising a watch and there’s no shortage of nice Mark II watches out in the wild.

I hope I have this right.
You just received the watch today. The watch is currently listed on Ebay for $2984 US. You are asking the forum for approximate value. You believe the watch had an Omega service where Omega installed the wrong crystal and did not address other obvious problems with the watch.

When you sell it you will know what it is worth.

Actually the values are no great secret.

MkII’s are an acquired taste
Dealers might fly kites on these and ask silly prices, (I have seen as high as 7,000 but usually up to 4500) however in the real world:

Beautiful ones sell for around $3000/3500
Ones like this are closer to $1200

show this to a dealer and he might offer $800 if he just had a bad lunch

it’s got unresolvable issues on top of the resolvable one’s

>3000 is a watch flipper price. You can purchase a flightmaster.

Jeez!
I thought my MkII was a heap of shit. But I only paid AUD$1,017.90 for mine, so I can live with it.

TIL the Mark II gap was all original - hard to get used to at first, I always assumed the inner bezel was from another watch

That would look amazing with a service and refinish.
