Agree about season 1. But My wife and I felt about season 2 the way you feel about season 3...we gave up half way through.

Lots of shows starting off strong these days and then the follow up seasons can't match how good they were. S.P. season 2 wasn't great but we made it thru. When the dead of winter comes to the northeast we'll be forced to watch season 3.

Same goes for westworld... season 1 was fantastic but 2 was confusing as hell.

Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I feel like I am pretty selective about TV and this is my definitive list:

    1. Dexter (Seasons 1-4, just forget they made the other seasons)
    2. Chernobyl on HBO. Seriously phenomenal. No other words
    3. The Killing (Season 1 only)
    4. The Crown
    5. Broadchurch
    6. The Night Manager
    7. Top Gear (just the Jeremy, James, and Richard eps)/The Grand Tour
    8. Jessica Jones is the only Marvel show worth its salt in my opinion
    9. Parks and Rec for a traditional comedy show
    10. Sherlock
    11. The Keepers (but be prepared to be creeped out)
    12. True Detective Season 1

    Netflix. Spy and Mindhunter

These series are both period pieces. Very well done.

    "Unbelievable" on Netflix
    8 episodes
Remarkably well done and somewhat bold in it's honesty about an important issue and how it is handled in the us

A few off the beaten path.

Not sure whether those in the U.S. can find this French series, The Bureau, but it is excellent (I believe three seasons thus far):

Netflix – The Two Killings of Sam Cooke:

Cracker, the British version, not the American. Robbie Coltrane is brilliant:

Top of the Lake – Elizabeth Moss' first step toward stardom:

Man on Wire – incredible documentary:

    Broken Circle Breakdown:

Really? Have you not seen the last season of daredevil (Wilson Fisk was great) or any of punisher?

Haven't been able to find the last four episodes to stream, but if you haven't seen Fortitude (Amazon original) you should check it out.

These days I prefer to watch retro TV series . Some are exceptionally well made compared to modern TV series.
T.H.E. Cat is a favorite. Downloaded and burned to Disc as many eps as I could find. Almost ever frame of this Film Noir series, only one episode was in color, is like a pen and ink chiaroscuro drawing. The use of shadow is amazing.

The "Rawhide" western series is another favorite. Good stories with characters you come to know well.
Plenty of historical information on the difficulties involved in pushing huge herds across the wild untamed post civil war west.

I've watched all the seasons of all the Marvel shows because I'm a hopeless Marvel fanboy. The acting in Daredevil is dreadful in my opinion, melodramatic to the point of being cringy. The acting from Jon Bernthal is not great either, but the bigger issue with the Punisher is the story is convoluted and not engaging. Iron Fist is a dumpster fire.

They all had their flaws but I found them very entertaining. I'm also a marvel fanboy so..... maybe I'm biased. I actually liked iron fist, and the ending was so terrible, I needed it to continue for another season. Lol
