Not everyone is entitled you know, this is despite current popular culture promoting the notion.

Back in my day, we only had the ability to have a watch if a wealthy family member gave us one that was generally cheap but cheery.
We couldn't afford to look sideways in the window of a watch shop. We had to cross the road.
The only watch of note in our entire family that became a full blown family heirloom, was a highly cherished Elgin pocket watch my then young Grandfather won at a Buck Jumping competition over seas back in 1910.
The story behind the watch and around that trip became legend throughout the entire district😉
