zombie thread...prompted by @Foo2rama's wish for a logo, so fresh on my mind I was driving back from work this morning in a bit of a blizzard and this went past me

nearly went off the road trying to catch up.....sadly not quite right.

One day the mystery will be solved...
The thing that irks me is that it is just so familiar somehow.
Yet I just can't find it. And I am like, a world-class Googler.

Aaaah for the love of horology. Glad you made it safely!
sad that this "important discussion" might trump personal safety........and that I/we live by the rule: "pictures or it didn't happen"
Happy though to wake up ready to pick out the watch for the day! IMG_0249.jpg

Unfortunately no hits on Google for Ene Cobhan.
Not sure if this helps or not but interesting nevertheless

Just another thought. Looking at the Engraving on the ebay watch it looks like the majority of the engraving is one typeface and level and the 25 was added afterwards not so well
Could it be that there were a bunch of watches all ready with Ene Cobhan and yrs award engraved. And the actual number added afterwards to suit the circumstance? I.e. were they given away by a company/organisation for various lengths of service (25, 30, 40??)

In this theory then I guess Ene Cobhan would be company/organisation of some sort...... just thoughts !! Can't find any evidence to back this up though 🙁

I was thinking the same thing about the “25” and “yrs award”, they’re clearly different so there must be a bunch of these engraved with the number of years added to suit. I was assuming the name ‘Ene… “ in this case was added at the same time as the “25” but I guess Ene Cobhan could be the company.

The "COB" looks to have a slightly larger type than the "HAN".

Soon enough it’ll be 25 years since this conundrum first reared its head, and we’ll all still be none the wiser what it is 😵‍💫

And if someone does figure it out in the meantime, we should club together to buy this watch for them as a reward.
