Hi Guys, Does anyone knows this logo on my Omega? It is an Omega Seamaster Automatic caliber 1020 from 1982. The reference number is 166 0216 3 - 366 0848 3. I have already seen this model with other logos e.g. from TCDD (a Turkish railway company), or with Mickey Mouse and also with Pluto but none like this yet. Greeting, Pedro
I pullewd the image and ran a reverse search.. Not with the clean one above... Best I can tell is it is a Griffin/Griffon, Gryphon and an H.... I tried variations on the usual suspects, OIL, and Airlines... It seems familiar.
I think I've seen it too. And we are of similar age -- & similar location. There is something that says Mexico to me. Don't know why. Postal service?
I have seen this logo on a watch dial too, and the question was the same then. I did a lot of looking at that point and came up with nothing. For what its worth, it does look, to me, like a stylized Mexican/latin american eagle combined with a letter, h? n?
An archive inquiry would give the answer...if the answer was important enough to drop that kind of coin.
I can not find anything. Are we kind of "second opinion"? https://uhrforum.de/threads/kennt-j...mega-seamaster-automatic.442182/#post-5610777
Since airlines have been ruled out I would suspect the logo might have been for some sort of delivery or courier service since it implies something swift or speedy.
Well I just spent about 40 minutes searching the TESS - Trademark Electronic Search System - and was not successful. Of course there are literally millions in there, so it depends on how you search. Going off the fact that it looks like an "h" this would put it in the category of "27.03.03 - Representations of animals or parts of animals forming letters or numerals, including punctuation". There also are the following categories it could possibly be in, assuming it was registered in the United States at all: 03.15 Birds, bats --Subcategories: 03.15.01 Eagles, 03.15.02 Falcons, hawks, vultures, condors, 03.17 Parts of birds; eggs and nests 03.17.01 Wings 03.17.16 Heads of birds 03.17.25 Other parts of birds http://tmsearch.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?f=tess&state=4801:xwwghx.1.1 Happy hunting! I think I give up at this point.
