Well it does not appear to be an old logo for N.C.C. Despite the logo sort of looking like an "N".

I think at this point our best option is to ask the Nigerian prince I helped transfer his fortune. He kinda owes me one.

Do we have enough info to get an extract for one of these watches?
I am willing to weigh in $10 (minor investment considering I'll be able to get back to work and keep my job!)

I am not sure if that is right. The timelines do not seem to match up. @89-0

It was Shell until 1975 which makes little sense due to the history of the watch.

The proliferation of cars in the 1920s led to the importation of gasoline in drums but in 1927, Shell built a bulk tank in Apapa and incorporated Oil Storage Company of Apapa in 1927. The company has gone through a few name transformations, it was known as Shell Company of Nigeria and then Shell Company of West Africa. In 1975, Nigerian government took a controlling 60% interest in the company and the name was changed to National Oil Company of Nigeria. The previous shell logo was changed and replaced with a new one showing an eagle.
