Which ones stay and which ones go

Really like the Sinn. Didn’t know they had a red bezel version unless that’s a mod.

It was a limited edition of 100, but I've seen a couple pop up on eBay at reasonable rates in the last year.

If this were my collection and I did a one in one out:

First thing that comes to mind would be to swap the Meister with a Field watch, I’m thinking vintage Hamilton. Next move would be to enjoy it!

Nice collection.

Good advice. Despite the lack of love here for the YM, I think it’s a great looking watch. The pop of red on an otherwise monochromatic watch is its charm. This video is pretty good to give a sense of it since the photo isn’t great:

Otherwise, I think the two closest to the chopping block for me are the Tudor, given the number of dive watches, and the Meistersinger, just because it hasn’t been in rotation this past year. The Tudor is slightly hard to let go of since it’s mint, has all accessories and it was only made for 5 months.

I love the YM. I think it’s a beautiful reference. Sounds like you know what you are ready to part with. Try and find what you really want. It may take a while but that’s the fun part. I’m a selective buyer and enjoy the hunt too. If you rush it and buy something to fill an arbitrary “gap” in your collection (I.e I need more color, I need something on rubber, I need this or that etc) rather than actually having the piece sing to you, it may end up on the chopping block in no time lol. Good luck.

Always been more of a navitimer guy but never have owned one.

Well, the collection changed a lot or not very much from the original post, depending on your viewpoint. Which 1-2 should drop and what would you add or replace?

My thought would be the Speedy with the 50th Anniversary Silver Snoopy (assuming I would be lucky enough to get the opportunity) and possibly also drop the Tudor.

That sounds like a good plan. The 50th Snoopy is amazing, and the standard Speedy (although it's about to be tweaked a bit) will be around for the foreseeable future if you want it again. The Tudor is very cool, but you can certainly let it go to make room for future acquisitions. (By the way, I wasn't kidding - if you want to think about selling the Tudor, I want dibs on buying it.)

As for adding a different piece, how about a worldtimer?

Keep the Speedy, Sell the rest, buy a Black Sub no Date & a Vacheron Patrimony Dress watch...you will then have pound for pound (IMO) the best Chrono, the best Diver and the best Dress watch in your collection.

I am aiming to do the same, ditching an SMP300, a 300C, an OP39, a BB58 Blue, and prob an FOIS - to leave me with my Sub, my Tokyo 2020 Speedy & then a hunt for nice VC - oh and I have my fathers vintage gold Omega Geneve too. The ones I would sell would pay for a good VC and I dont wear them enough anyway...

Sell Meistersinger, Ball, Tudor

I like the Breitling. That 90s look is not popular now, but it's a distinctive look, emblematic of that brand and it will have a resurgance of interest in a decade when it's old enough to be vintage.

Not a huge fan of worldtimers but a good suggestion. I’ll let you know if/when the Tudor becomes officially available and see if we can come to terms. I originally had two and this one was just perfect and probably unworn when I got it. I keep flirting with letting it go but then I slide it on and it makes sense as a watch.

I like the VC idea. I’d probably go vintage and try to find a 34mm. I’d need to see if that’s too small for my liking. I don’t disagree with your selection otherwise but the plain sub and plain speedy together seem like such safe choices. Hope you are able to consolidate and enjoy what you have with your new VC.

Cast the Breitling, Meister and/or Yachtmaster aside. Then you can look at something a little different, eg a different shaped watch with a complication you don’t have, such as GMT or moonphase. How about this, with its Art Deco look and splash of colour?

Note the new pic with a GMT added but I also like this suggestion for something different in the future.

Good addition with the GMT.

I would get rid of the Breitling and add a dressier piece like others have said. I think a JLC MUT would compliment your collection well.

I think a Cartier Santos would be a great addition. Four on both rows would be great.

For heavens sake all of you the answer is simple.

Get a bigger box.
I believe William has hit the nail on the head with this response 😉

I will post my collection if that means I can add a Pepsi GMT soon after!! Congrats!

Also don’t let go of that 79220n too easily. It’s a great one that you have to live with to fully appreciate.

If only I knew as well. I thought I was being punked when I got a text about having one available for me at the AD.

The first six are Omegas. The last one is a Tag Heuer Monza Classics. I’m hunting for a Monaco Classics to round out the pair. I’m a fan of the Heuer racing watches. Only one Speedmaster, 3590.50. It will be the only Speedmaster I ever own, because, for me, it’s perfection. Each watch represents something different in era, design, or functionality.

Nice collection even mostly within one brand’s sport collections. I’d probably eliminate either of the 300m chrono or railmaster chrono. My definite keep in your collection is the ploprof; you rarely see those in person.

I’m with you on the Tag and next one.
