Hi S. I got curious of your point as I'm not knowledgeable about these watches so I researched a bit and saw this

Okay in fairness to Hodinkee they're not saying outright that the BP Milspec 1 is a French navy diver. They just talk about the early development of the BP FF, and then they post a Milspec 1 picture without clarifying the connection. So it's just fuzzy, or a bit sloppy, but not outright inaccurate.
What is inaccurate though is that dealer's label in the picture posted.

@aap the UG Uni-Compax in the first photo (with the blue strap) haunted my dreams last night. It's pictured again with some Jaeger chronos and it happens to be the one watch with an obscured price due to glare - do you happen to recall the price?

I'm legitimately interested. Stunning watch.

That was a watch I was seriously interested in. In fact I saw it a couple of days before. I sent pics to Jordan and Dre before they arrived. But it has the wrong caseback. Asking price is JPY 445,000.

I agree. This was the first time I went to Tokyo (in four trips) that I didn't buy anything from any of the stores.

Hey, @Mcurreri, did you just randomly come upon this post? I hadn't seen this for weeks, but recommended it to a guy heading to Tokyo. Then moments later you responded to the original thread. Weird kismet going on here if you just happened upon it way back in the piles of threads! Maybe it means Tokyo is calling our names?!?
