·I’m back in Tokyo after over 3 years. Since I'm with my family, I can't really go to a lot of watch stores (or stay long if at all). Still, here are some of the ones I've seen here:
From Carese Omotesando:
From Shellman Ginza:
I also visited FMWV, which sadly has decreased in size and dealers:
I got this fetching Seikosha for my two kids to share:
I then headed to my friends at:

Finally…I also got my first Patek Philippe from Item Shibuya, another favorite store.
I’ve always wanted my first PP to be simple, subtle and unassuming, but oozing with elegance and quirky uniqueness. For me, this ref. 3671 “gondolo” from the 1980s delivers.
Obviously, the dial is the main attraction - with the applied silver markers and hands bursting like rays of light over the blue slate dial. Complementing the dial and hands is the white gold, stepped case, which perfectly frames the watch.
Patek’s iconic Calatrava Cross adorns the crown ever so subtly, respectful to the the overall minimalist style.
The movement is also a delight to wind and look at.
Thanks to @Tony C. for his usual levelheaded guidance, helping me wade through a few options.
