·WTF!?! This was done on purpose? I would have thought that the watch and the owner were involved in a massive car accident.
Great restoration job though.

S SlCKB0YWhat exactly is wrong with Seiko? Or am I missing some sort of humour or irony?
S SlCKB0YWe need more info! Did Omega do it all or did you source some of the required parts and DIY? We’re they aghast at its condition? Did you explain the story to them so they didn’t think there was something wrong with you?
Did you get the movement serviced? God knows what the idiot did to it.
I have absolutely no understanding of why someone did this, unless as some people mentioned before, it got severely damaged. If they really wanted the vintage lume look, I’m pretty sure they would only have had to go back to to the mid to late 90’s before they made the switch away from tritium-based lume.
I spotted this one floating around too and wondered what on earth had possessed someone to do this.
Or more perhaps, what had possessed someone to do this to a nearly new £5k plus watch.
Just seemed and incredibly weird thing to do.
Is the case ok @bags1971 or is it worth asking them to replace everything but the movement and just return it to as new?
