My '57 Trilogy Seamaster is due for some cleaning (links are showing some serious dirt as is the area below the bezel on the case -- and the inside of the clasp is looking like a Superfund site) so I wanted to get a general consensus on what I've been reading on forum searches-

Tap water, a bit of dish soap, soft bristle toothbrush, scrub a dub, rinse and dry... Agree/Disagree?

    Thank you.

    Yes.
Just double check your crown is screwed down properly (not overtight though) and keep everything at a stable room temperature.

If it is that dirty, probably should clean it more often than you are currently. Soft bristle brush and mild dish washing soap....Plenty of water with the crown firmly seated.
