Been offered a lovely Certina, what would you do?

It's always intrigued me that women's watches get so little uptake in the collecting world especially as the engineering required is a whole level higher than that of men's versions due to the miniturisation required.

In recent times I have bought quite a few high specification vintage women's watches, some I post on here many I don't but it always stands out the lack of likes you get when I post photos of them.

Oh well my wife loves them and the pricing is unbelievably low even for the numerous Omega women's watches I have purchased.

Today I was offered this Certina 27 Jewel automatic but as I explained to my watchmaker ( who owns it ) his service cost would be more than twice the value of the watch in good working service including a fresh service, and my WM service costs are extremely low to me ( high volume rates).

I am still considering it, but it would certainly not be an economic proposition unless I was able to locate and buy the matching male version to make a complete set ( similar to a Titoni Cosmo Queen purchase in another recent post).

There was a Waterking model, and this looks like a correct women's counterpart.

I don't recall seeing an identically shaped Waterking, but there certainly are a lot of Waterkings around, all very cheap. Very decent and well-made watches, not a lot to disagree with, but not a lot to get excited over either - they are fairly bland.

This is a good point. I was referring to the dial, but the case is a question mark.

Yes its great when they look substantially the same as per my aforementioned Titoni Cosmo Queen.
The Cosmo King is off the net ( not mine) and there probably were closer editions to mine made.
