My first Omega was bought new in 2013. One of the last pre-ceramic chronographs. I still have it and wear it occasionally. Only occasionally as I went on a spending spree and bought my 2054 (mostly worn as a 2254 though!) 2 days later.

A 1959 2278-3. Sold it earlier this year because of its small size but I absolutely loved the dial, rose gold coffin markers, and the golden patina the dial had taken on over the years 馃憤

Really great stories so far!

I have to admit I was drawn to Omegas after a schoolmate received an Omega for high school graduation. At the time, I didn't think much of watches or a significant gift as a marker of achievement. Years go by, and I became curious about other watches, and the Seamasters which of course led into Speedmasters and the entire Omega line.

I was smitten with the CoAxial versions of the Speedmasters and this last year purchased my first Omega. After having it on my wish list for five years. I'm sure I will pass this on to my son. Will post pics soon.

I had always wanted to add a Speedmaster to my collection. When Omega presented its 1957 Trilogy 60th Anniversary collection during Baselworld 2017, I was immediately blown away. I knew this was the Speedy I had patiently been waiting for. I submitted my deposit the next day and received her on November 3rd that year:

I now know how ALL my coffees should now be decorated. Omega symbol in whip cream is an excellent idea. Thank you, good sir. Very well played. Also an excellent watch as well, not detracting from the excellent watch.

After years of wanting a step-dialed Speedy, I finally got one about a month ago. All the others haven鈥檛 been worn since.

Been wanting a speedmaster as my first swiss watch. My wife got me a datejust instead.

Since she knew i wanted an omega, she got me this double eagle constellation instead since she preferred it aesthetically to the black dialed speedy.

The Speedy Moonwatch I got a couple weeks ago was my first Omega. It's a 2005 ref. 3570.50.00. I wish I had a better background story to tell than "I got it because I wanted it badly and the price was too good to pass" but that's what happened. Anyways it looks big on me but I still love it.

I had started looking on Ebay in 2018 after discovering the early Omega Dynamics. I liked that they were affordable, but also learned there were a lot of poor photos and overpriced watches to sift through there. Found WUS and Omega Forums about the same time, and bought my first watch from peire06. I had been looking for a bullseye dial but loved the look of this one, and it was in great shape. I now have 2 more Dynamics and a Seamaster 600, so I guess I can thank/blame him for my new expensive obsession!

That is a beautiful watch. Especially from a mother-in-law. Have you had it serviced to see if there is a James Bond type of recording device installed? I am kidding of course. Many on the forum wishes (myself included) for such a nice gift from an in-law.

I didn鈥檛 know much about eBay and hadn鈥檛 ever thought I could afford an Omega until I plunged on this and bought it in a re-auction for 拢230. This one was the start of my (mild) addiction.

Love your watch and strap even though I'm a vintage guy.
