I cycle, swim and have done a couple or three sprint distance triathlons each year over the past few seasons. I play double bass and am a trustee of a small charity. I also have a small stamp collection.
I read books I don't understand. I ski and watch my Raynauds set in. I bird-watch with failing vision and hearing. I go to the gym and injure my joints. I cycle and get prostatitis. I do love my hobbies!
I have a 7 month old and 3.5 year old. Lost time tinkering with my Fox Body Mustang but still find time to go to the gym. Watches became a new hobby since I can do it from inside the house with the kids rather than be out in the cold garage with the Mustang.
Aside from caring for a 5 year old and a 17 month old, I’m into playing ice hockey and military sim gaming on the PC
Just wanted to compliment you pretty cool you were able to fill all those pages I find writing to be an amazing talent other forms of media have taken over but the written word still has its impact.
Thank you. It is pretty gratifying to come up with an idea and see it through to the end. Took me 40-some-odd-years to finish my first one though. I think I started my first “novel” in high school. Oh, it was sooooo bad.
My main hobby these days is participating in online forums, such as one devoted to a particular watch manufacturer. It's one of the few things I can do while I watch my 6-year-old most weeknights and a good part of the weekend. My car hobby has been in park for a few years now, as has my career as an elderly soccer player.
For me it is cooking and making up new recipes....and awaiting judgement from the toughest food critics...my 6 and 3 year old!
Young kids are easy......grilled cheese, spaghetti, hot dogs and chicken nuggets. Anything else is overkill.
