My grail... They are not that expensive. Everytime I think to buy one I get another watch but keep looking at it. Maybe I should just get it?

I have to admit, I have been looking at these also. IMO an attractive piece, maybe even surprisingly so.

My grail is probably the time piece that finally fills the watch sized hole in my heart… the quest continues.

My absolute grail. Get a Speedmaster 1957 ref 3594.50 and then source a blue panda dial - Gemini IV and make this... Almost did this a few nights ago but I found a brand new Spring Drive Grand Seiko Diver for an absolute steal so bought that instead.

But you could do this watch for less than $6,000 for the parts.. Very doable. Maybe next year or in 6 months.

Either an original Ultraman with provenance or an Italian albino Speedmaster.

I’m not fancy. I’m pretty basic.

I think my grail would be a vintage 600m. Close second is the summer blue Ploprof. I recently acquired this one one, and I have to say, it’s pretty awesome.

PloProf Ti. Always loved the design but found the dimensions and weight a bit much. Had the chance to try on the blue Ti version and fell in love straight away. Unique combo of history, tool-o-mania and purposeful beauty. Much more than I need for my level of diving bur would love to peek down on a reef traverse and see a PlofProf gleaming back.

Edit: And there it is, right above me! ^^^

Just recently picked up a seamaster heritage and can’t stop staring at it. Now, I know why all of you love these watches!

The 95% of the population that are not multiple watch owners a Omega divers watch or whatever watch they buy or own is a everyday watch 😉

I usually wear a Marathon GSR as a daily beater. In the evenings and weekends, I wear the Omega. It’s so much more comfortable to wear.

Guess this is my Omega Ultraman grail that I inherited from my father. I used to put it on my wrist as a young boy and now wear it on occasions when not using my reduced.

I just wish Omega would re open their extract archive service so I could find out the origin of the watch etc.

I know I'm a lucky son to have received this watch from my late father.

Currently it's the current Snoopy. Previously it was the one in my picture.
