Alaska Project prototype. Why? Because it's the most amazing Speedmaster ever made. I'm still hoping @Robert-Jan can make this dream a reality with a Speedy Tuesday.

100% agree! I never need a tachymeter, but I use a timing bezel all the time! And I'm a sucker for lume - I love that all the sub-dials are lumed. Honestly, if I had the money, I'd pay some talented person to mod a new speedy to look as close to this as possible. It's be my go-to watch every day!

45.5mm PO Ceragold 8501 on matching Ceragold bracelet. Doesn't exist and they unequivocally will not make a one off exception (I've asked several times).

I got the watch a number of years ago and simply adore it. There's always been something totally absurd yet equally appealing to me as a full gold sport watch and after trying the previous generation full gold PO on at the London boutique I REALLY wanted one. Unfortunately I just wasn't that big of a fan of the 2500 series POs bracelets (despite owning one in stainless) in comparison to the 8500 version.

As such, my "grail" remains just out of reach.

After owning a couple different gold Omega's (I had the LE Railmaster XXL in red gold as well - sold it for the PO) I must say I can't help but fall in love in with their gold products very easily.

I'd very much like to add the orange gold Speedmaster moonwatch (9301 series in the 44.25mm case size) and a rose/red gold AT to the line up one day!

...Alaska Project prototype...
I'd love to have one of the 56 NASA-assigned "radial dial" Alaska III Prototypes that the SpeedyTuesday No.1 is based on 馃槑

And while I'm at it, I'll add a "big triangle" Seamaster 300 ... ::psy::

Apollo 11 25th Anniversary White Gold (3192.30) which I was able to acquire a few years ago. If there's a white gold Apollo 13 this year, my bank account will be taking a hit!

My grail Omega is the 105.012-65, guess I鈥檓 one of the lucky ones to own my grail! It鈥檚 a full set with papers etc, but I like to switch out the bracelet every now and then for a different look.

Oh Yes. Big triangle, sword hands, date and naiad crown is fire. I will probably never have one, was hoping for building WatchCo like this, but I've learned that big triangle service dials are unobtainable.

Wouldn't call it a grail, but since I'll probably never get one, I'll say an ST1. As for why..... cause it looks fantastic.

I was able to complete my personal trilogy recently (all 3 but in my favorite references) I'm pretty content these days and choosing a grail would be hard.
I鈥檓 leaning hard to this too bro

That Snoopy would have to be it for me, but I can't spend that kind of money on a watch. Well... I could, you know, theoretically, but then I'd likely be afraid to wear it.

Now, if (when) I win the lottery, all bets are off. I won't be so concerned with resale values then.

I'm not in cold temps enough to warrant the purchase, but the Alaska Project Speedy (full accessories) would be my grail. The contrast on the dial, the quirky external case, and the other accessories would be amazing.

A complete set 2915-1 like the one on my wrist below beside my 145.012. 馃榾

And of course I鈥檓 happy to say my SM300BT! A rare colour combo and it makes me smile everyday I wear it!

As to my choice in modern? It hasn鈥檛 been offered yet. It鈥檚 basically the 321 Platinum Reference but in SS, with white gold indices and onyx dial with black sub-dials IOW no meteor.

Ed White's watch. The actual watch he wore.

I鈥檝e thought about this too. It鈥檚 out there, having been auctioned by his family a couple of decades ago.

If I recall correctly, it went for over $30k over 20 years ago. I鈥檇 assume it鈥檚 close to $500k in the right auction now, if not more.

A true grail ought to be an impossible dream. Here鈥檚 mine.
