What is your grail Omega and why?

I just saw my grail watch - Speedmaster Silver Snoopy 45th anniversary - listed on a local online marketplace and boy do I want to pull the trigger. Personally I've always loved the Silver Snoopy 2nd Edition since I first saw it. The pristine white dial gives away a dressy character without being too serious. The lumed hour markers, Snoopy subdial, and tachymeter scale are beautiful additions. The silver Snoopy on the case back reminiscent to the official pin flown on Apollo XIII. I'm literally in love with this piece. If I had to have only one LE this would be it.

What Omega have you lusted / are you lusting over?

This one checks all my boxes as well, also represents an instance where the Speedmaster actually saved the day, lives and proved it's usefulness. Also love the white dial, black hands and the humor used in it's presentation. Can't wait to see what the 50th version goes for.

Recently I acquired my grail, an 100% original 64 Ed White, saying that there is always something else that catches your eye and while other 321's like the 105.012, 145.012 are on my list an early original 2998 Base 1000 or before is real grail material..

My grail Omega doesn't exist yet, but it would be the Aqua Terra Worldtimer in titanium, and preferably without the laser-ablated map motif, but with the city disc. An updated GoodPlanet AT essentially.

100% +1. Perfectly put. For the Speedy-neutrals among us, it's the one that just sometimes changes our minds. Chamber loaded for the 50th, but we'll just need to see the $€£ s I guess...

Wouldn't call it a grail, but since I'll probably never get one, I'll say an ST1. As for why..... cause it looks fantastic.

I was able to complete my personal trilogy recently (all 3 but in my favorite references) I'm pretty content these days and choosing a grail would be hard.

Always liked the look of perfectly aged tritium paired with the stepped 321 dial, so either a 145.012 or 105.012

I suppose if I were to pick a "grail", I already have it, the Seamaster Professional 2254.50.00. When I was going to buy my Officially-Brand-New Omega Watch in the late 90s, it was was between the Seamaster and the Speedmaster. I had been pining for a Speedmaster since college days (used to have a picture of it taped to the wall!)) but that Seamaster spoke to me. I eventually bought the '57 Replica 3954.00.00, I think, and wore it in modified form for more than 20 years until I just had to have that Seamaster! The Speedmaster got traded to my local watchmaker in exchange for servicing many of my watches, and I never looked back.

Now my daily wear collection is complete. The Seamaster Professional, a WatchCo Seamaster 300, and now my new 57 Railmaster, which I haven't taken off in the month since I received it. The rest of the watch collection sits ignored, wating for me to notice it again. But the three wonderful stainless three-hand watches are the ones that make me happiest to wear.

My grail is the Omega grail speedy - 376.0822. Birth year watch. Too bad prices have skyrocketed in the years it took me to finally afford the prices 10 years ago!

The Speedy Pro Golden Panda. It would be nice if Omega made it in a greater quantity this time. Yes, there is the FOIS panda, in Sedna gold available now, but I like twisted lugs.

If we're talking grails I might reasonably own some day, I'm really starting to love the ST1 or ST2. If we're taking unobtainable grails, then a prototype Speedy with timing bezel. Maybe ST3 will make this possible...

I already own my modern grail. It’s the Speedmaster Mitsukoshi. For vintage, it’s the milspec SM300.

For me, it is not an unobtainable piece as far as Omega goes. I wanted a black /white PO. I got it and haven't looked back! Simply a fantastic piece.

Mine doesn't exist... yet.
It'd be something like the SM120 or SM200 with an updated movement, ceramic/titanium case, no date 🥰
