What is your grail Omega and why?

My grail is always the one I haven't bought yet, but I have my eye on you!

This is truth. Having anointed a grail or two and then obtained/attained them, I can say from experience: the quest doesn’t end there. Eventually the grail loses its life-giving superpowers and another grail beckons from high atop another distant mountain.

We think it’s the thing we’re after, but it’s not: it’s the quest itself. And the feeling of being on that quest isn’t one we actually want to get past.

I have two concepts for grail watch. The realistic and the holy one.

My realistic is a NOS fligthmaster and the holy one is an Ed white 321

166.093 Seamaster 1000

Why, of all the re-issues, have they not reissued this one? They re-issued the Ploprof 600 but not this?

come ON!!!

Recently became a 'senior' and considering one last watch to celebrate the occasion. Narrowed it down to one of these.....can't decide.

Congratulations. I hope you enjoy many more years in good health with the watch you choose.

I gifted my father the Trilogy and he absolutely loves it. Wears it daily. And it brings me great joy whenever he wears it.

I think the Alaska Project is one of the most fun Speedy directions. Completely different direction than the Speedmaster Trilogy which I think is a understated, timeless piece. Pair the Trilogy with the Ed White bracelet or on a leather strap and it just becomes even better.

It’s a bit difficult to narrow it down to one watch, but for me it’s probably a 345.0809 SpeedyMoon

2 that I would consider grail level for me (I have my 3rd, but it isn't an Omega (a 5512)

Omega Seamaster 300 Military, Ref. ST 165.024
The 165.024 is already desirable as are the military versions, so that's nothing new. But what sings to me about these watches (and any military issue watch) is my own connection to them as a veteran myself. While there are plenty, this being a dive watch fits right into my own preferences for dive watchs, even though I don't dive and will never ever ever go deeper than 10 ft in the water. The somewhat uniqueness of the Tritium marker and the big triangle just make it even more appealing obviously. Doesn't matter, don't care, love them. One of these will be in my watch box at some point.

2nd Grail that will eventually be mine is the Apollo 13 45th anniversary. Love the series (50th will be in my collection at some point s well) but this one speaks to me. Sure, there's the historical reference, the white dial, snoopy on the dial with the failure quote, etc...but its the deep thoughts triggered in me by the simple words "what could you do in 14 seconds" that give me pause to think, every time I see it, about man's ability to accomplish extraordinary things through perseverance, passion and necessity.

Already posted on page 1 but even if I had the disposable income it is more than I would ever pay for jewelry. Freakin gorgeous and I am not a gold watch guy.

Can't argue with your points here. Would never want to spend that much on a watch but it is stunning

My grail Omega also followed up by the 321 platinum. Neither one I'll ever be able to afford.

I have been on a journey towards my GADA one watch collection for several years. I had settled on this reference some time ago, but then convinced myself it would wear too large given the dimensions. However, once I finally got a chance to actually try it in the steel, it stole my heart.

I took this shot at lunch yesterday.

I just saw my grail watch - Speedmaster Silver Snoopy 45th anniversary - listed on a local online marketplace and boy do I want to pull the trigger. Personally I've always loved the Silver Snoopy 2nd Edition since I first saw it. The pristine white dial gives away a dressy character without being too serious. The lumed hour markers, Snoopy subdial, and tachymeter scale are beautiful additions. The silver Snoopy on the case back reminiscent to the official pin flown on Apollo XIII. I'm literally in love with this piece. If I had to have only one LE this would be it.

What Omega have you lusted / are you lusting over?

There are so many watches I would like to own that it's hard to pick just one. But when it comes to grail watches, one keeps coming first to mind, an Omega Marine CK 679 in great original condition with the original strap and clasp.

I'd love to have one of the 56 NASA-assigned "radial dial" Alaska III Prototypes that the SpeedyTuesday No.1 is based on 😎

Same. I've seen one of the real ones in person from a German ESA astronaut in Florida. He was a really cool guy. I was wearing my 3750 Speedy and unfortunately he wouldn't trade it, lol

I also wouldn't mind an original CK 2998-2 with Lollipop Chrono Hand.
