What else do you collect?

I answered this in the other "what else are you into" thread awhile back.

My other collecting passions include vintage phonographs, jazz & classical records of all persuasions (shellac and vinyl), and 1st ed. novels of Robert Graves.

A few of my phonos!

And this last, from 1926 (Victor 1-5) had a photo of the original owner stored in the record storage compartment all these years:

while residing in Germany, I began hoarding tube radios - mostly Grundig and Saba from the 50s & 60s. I just ran out of display space to keep collecting....we all know that watches are easier to store (or as others have confessed, hide!). All of my radios are fully operational!

One of my favourites from my Inuit art collection. I particularly like the snow goggles on the child.

Wonderful! I have a couple, my favorite is this Grundig 2065 which my parents bought soon after they were married. I use it to listen to Chicago's WFMT and to 75 GB worth of mp3s...

I have many hobbies, but as far as collecting: Watches, firearms, and beer glasses....

Firearms: 2x Walther PPQ 9mm (his and hers), AR-15, M1 Garand, Mosin Nagant, and I sold my SKS last year. I have the most fun with the vintage military rifles and think that will be the direction of most future purchases....

An SMLE or any variant of the Lee Enfield in .303 would go nicely with your Garand and Nagant. Every gentleman should own at least one vintage rifle in .30 calibre, preferably stocked in wood.

The SMLE would be a good pairing with the Mosin, it is an all original Hungarian M44. Shorter, light and handy. I also have a Ruger 10/22 that I forgot to mention.

M

My neighbour is from Cuba, he keeps promising me one of his cigars but I am still waiting in hope.
Just as an aside, if you are an American and you smoke a Cuban cigar, anywhere in the world, according to the CIA's website you are breaking the law. Honestly.

What about Cuban heel boots? They're pretty cool to walk in once you get used to them, does the CIA get involved in footwear?

Nothing better than a nice welsh lamb, makes a change from shagging the missus three times a day.

Looks like the CIA is late updating their information....
