I like to collect catalogues from my collecting field, so really 1950 - early 1970's.

It is satisfying to see the vintage models that I own in period advertising material. Sometimes I find them cheap ( €20 - € 40 ) and sometimes a little more expensive. I think the most I've ever paid was around €65 or so for a mid 1950's catalogue that I had never seen before with many interesting references and a good 70 or 80 pages.

I gots me a few...'50s and 60s, mainly, and a variety of manufacturers. I like 'em, and occasionally find them to be very useful. Here are some...

Like @cristos71 I collect mainly sixties and seventies catalogues. I do have one from 1957/1958 like in the bottom row of @Tony C. pictures.

Most of them have been very cheap. Certain sellers seem to regularly get huge sums for theirs on eBay (using regular, low start auctions rather than BIN). Throw 'speedmaster', or 2915 in any auction listing title and you have a winner.

I wonder how many were produced back in the day compared to now?
Most of mine have a shops details stamped on the back cover and have come from all over the world. In the pre-boutique Era every high street jeweler must have had a supply.

As a side note, most pages in these catalogues are devoted to Ladies watches. It is quite surprising the lack of fanfare occasionally given to some of our highly prized models.
Also the catalogues of old are surprisingly small compared to today's examples.

A few of mine. A long way from the simple catalogues of the fifties and sixties.

I only have one Omega catalog...the 2015 Omega catalog that Omega sent to me (upon request) after I purchased my Speedy Gonzales last year.

I have purchased (for cheap) a couple of old catalogues which have photos of a watch I have. If other catalogues turn up featuring other watches I own, I'd buy them too. I like the idea of having catalogues that go with my collecting periods and watches.

Not sure about the value aspect... but agree that the photos are pretty cool to look at. Even though I have a couple of Omega pieces that make me feel special.... The last couple of visits to the Omega Boutique awarded me the catalog and that alone has made me feel even more special lol
