What else do you collect?

I collect credit card bills. 馃槣

I don't know if you could define any of my other hobbies as "collecting". There's a lot of fishing equipment in the basement and garage, but none of it is a collection - just a bunch of tools I use to catch dinner. There's a lot of wine too, but it doesn't just sit on display. Just as my watches were for wearing, the wine is for drinking. There's even a cellar management plan - currently drinking stuff from 1995 to 2004 (even have bottles back to 1976 for special occasions), periodically opening 2005 to 2008 to see the progress, and buying 2009 to 2012 for future consumption. There are exceptions to that plan like 2001 Arrowood Reserve Speciale Cab - it's not quite peaking so we stashed the remaining 11 bottles in with the '05 to '08 bottles and will check on them again in a few years.

Is it bad that reading that made me thirsty?

Meteorites, cars, and once upon a time and briefly, toothpick dispensers!

The easiest one to show you is the meteorites (I know, everyone was hoping to see the collection of toothpick dispensers, but I must save that one for another 'reveal'!)... so here is the thread that details these 'space rocks' leading to my ultimate watch of the moment:

Just buy a Speediorite!

This was asked in my 'reveal' thread linked to above, but just like with watches, there are online merchants and also private sellers/forums where you can find them.

Due to another serious 'addiction'馃槈, I'm not actively collecting them anymore, but I noticed prices seem to be about 50% higher than they were 4-5 years ago for comparable meteorites. I imagine the TV series, 'Meteorite Men' may have helped precipitate some of that 'inflation'...

For me it's a modest collection of violins, clocks, books on horology, my hobby car (just one), camping, photography, travel, maintaining two tower clocks (not mine), and belonging to two active fiddle groups. Then, watch and clock repair, but that is 50/50 hobby and profession. All in all, keeps me busy!

Oh, forgot to mention. Accordions.

Love to play 'em along with other instruments as well.

Have a collection of pea whistles.

Love classic, collectible cars of all kinds so this forum offers a pleasing side benefit of viewing other forum members' nice cars. We kept a rare Chrysler 300 convertible for 30 years. Haven't decided what sort of car to get into this time or how much I need to spend to get one.

We love to travel, especially to Europe and most especially the UK.

Love music so have an extensive library of both vinyl and CDs and a good, if now dated system on which to play it. Mostly classical and classic rock.

I have many hobbies, but as far as collecting: Watches, firearms, and beer glasses.

Watches: Breitling Transocean Chrono Unitime, Omega Speedy Co-ax racing, casio Pathfinder PAW-2000, an old G shock, and a Citizen Calibre 8700 that my wife (who makes chainmail jewelry) is making a custom bracelet for. Since I have some nice beaters and daily's I am looking to go vintage next (vintage Navitimer and vintage moon watch) and would also like to add a Tudor Black Bay some day.

Firearms: 2x Walther PPQ 9mm (his and hers), AR-15, Mosin Nagant, and I sold my SKS last year. I have the most fun with the vintage military rifles and think that will be the direction of most future purchases.

Beer glasses: and assortment of glasses from a combination of beer brewers, locations, and events.
FYI-The CMP has released a bunch of Garands recently.

Cars, R/C planes, a boat, Shotguns- 2 Krieghoff's, Silver Seitz, 5 Beretta's, Browning Superposed Midas Grade, (Dad's shotgun), Winchester Model 12 and a few watches too. (Still working on the watch thing). I also have the violin my great graddad played and the violin my grandad played. My great grandad traded a bag of wheat to pay for the violin I have.
Like Ulackfocus, all of my stuff gets used. If it doesn't get used, it goes, unless my parents or grandparents gave it to me.

Colognes and fragrances. I have a reviewer channel up on YouTube with the same username and have been printed in a few different magazines. I do product reviews as well as brand owner interviews. There are only so many things men can have, unlike women. I like nice watches and smelling good!

way cool, watching fragrance reviews on youtube is one of my distractions from working all day and all night in front of my computer.

Not a collection, but I have had four E30 M3s in the past 15 years. Otherwise, mid-century furniture and Japanese whisky.
