··Nowhere near as grumpy as he used to be...It’s fully possible that Omega did a few for someone or for demonstration for military buyers all brushed.
It would most likely not be “issued” but part of a kit to be used with the deep diving gear to be returned after use hence if the USN had them they would not have found thier way out into general circulation like most other military watches.
