Interesting choice. Is this for watch work?

It is, I pondered a lot of options before settling on this one, I suspect I will eventually also get a WW pattern lathe but these Sherlines have a lot of options for accessories and once taking a truing skim on the collet adaptor should run true with the 8mm collets.

This also has the advantage of compatibility of accessories for a mill down the line too.

Anytime my friend, enjoy! I think it's a great choice for your piece, just adding the picture in since eBay will remove it eventually.

I'll be interested to know how the runout is with the collets. I've seen comments that the collets don't work particularly well in these...at least for very fine work.

I think Chris (Clickspring on Patreon) has spent some time sorting his Sherline out so that runout has been all but eliminated.
Probably worth checking out his Patreon channel or he's also on Youtube.

these exact videos are actually a lot of what persuaded me to give the sherline a go over the significantly more expensive cowells

Bought some proper dial storage cases for my ever growing spare parts drawer.

33% chance, fingers crossed! (All 3 have different post sizes of I recall correctly but could be mistaken)

I convinced the seller to get one of those dial storage cases before shipping. I recall seeing a nightmare story here of a dial damaged in shipping. Good to know about the subdial hands. That will be for my watchmaker to figure out.

This today as it was but 50 cents.
The clear coat has worn unevenly across the plates surface, I am thinking if I spray paint the front either Matt or gloss black it will look great in a panda sort of way.

Was able to snag a pretty decent 1175 bracelet for a really reasonable price, which arrived in the post today :D

I’m thinking I’ll be using it for my Mark ii racing conversion with my 145.022-71 case, since the -71’s were outfitted with these bracelets from the factory for a short time. I also have the Seamaster 166.028, that this bracelet came on as well, so purchasing it seemed like a no brainer.

Wot no takers? Oh well here ya go then.

Its quite fascinating the history and the linkages.

The makers mark for this Nickel Silver spoon are J.G.G which stands for John G Graves a very famous business man who embraced all sorts of different business ventures and made them work making him a fortune which he freely gave back to his adopted city. Here is a brief low down.

My wife got me an Uncle Seiko gift certificate for father's day :).

Gonna be hiding in the home office, frustratedly trying to relocate flyaway spring bars for rest of the evening!

Bulova is definitely watch related ... I couldn't help but grab this tiny bit of bling for my other wrist. The tuning fork clasp is a nice touch.
