Some new jars for the watch cleaning machine. To replace the mason's jars I cut the tops off.

Round jars. Do they have swirl breakers in them?

Mine use a mesh liner for swirl reduction.

Yes, you can see the the star shaped swirl breakers in the photograph. One reason for the replacement over the mason's jars was to get the additional height.

The mesh is an interesting way to deal with the swirl. I used to have the old rectangular jars for this, but they were broken or disappeared in storage.

The system is supposed to go back and forth. The motor on it seems to be a replacement shaded pole fan motor. There is still cam circuitry in the base to reverse the polarity. The start stop action seems to work well enough.

Mark II Racing Dial arrived yesterday evening. Was a bit hesitant about the eBay photos but when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised.

Felt like it was a must to put a black light on it. There is some loose tritium, most likely from a set of hand as the tritium on the dial looks to be intact, but regardless I was not disappointed 😁

I’m fairly certain if it’s authenticity, but for any of those more familiar with these, do you see any issues/things I should be aware of?

Barbour Beaufort in black, to replace the decade old one that shrank right where I store my mashed potatoes. Yeah, that’s it, it shrank.

I wear it any time I hit a flea market for watch hunting in the fall. The left breast zip moleskin pocket is the perfect place to stash an acquisition.

Cox The Saddler in the UK is hands down the best Barbour bargain anywhere. Half of retail for the Beaufort.

Bought off Aliexpress last night so I can cleanly and accurately cut leather for making straps / lanyards.

And this one as well ......just because it looks too cool not to be in my arsenal of work tools.

Thanks to this article in the Stories section of OF, I learned about the 1206 bracelet with the 673 end links that matches up to my 166.0141. Never really like the other bracelet references that were original to these until I say the article. Found a NOS one and came to a nice agreement with the seller. Arrived today and it’s already on my 166.0141.

Pretty happy with it. 😁

I don't normally say it but as a bracelet fan I think yours would look better on leather or a different bracelet. 🙁
