The Spy Who Came in From the Cold by John Le Carre. I have never read anything by him before. He is a fantastic writer. I will definitely read more of his books in the future.

Most of my reading time is spent helping my 6-year-old learn to read right now 😀

We are currently working our way through this series again:

and also working our way through some neat nonfiction books:

Bellum Alexandrinum by someone close to Julius Caesar. Perhaps Aulus Hirtius who was killed in battle about a year after Caesar was murdered by a group of senators.

Ha, I forced myself recently to read him - I read "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" - I put it up there as one of the worst books I've ever read! It was PAINFUL to get through...

Funny how we all have very different perceptipons...

I'm reading this - taking me ages... reading like 4 pages a month! It's so information dense and the print is tiny tiny... but it's incredibly revealing. America really is screwed. 🙁

New from Erik Larsen, enjoyed “Devil in the White City” about a serial killer at the Chicago Centenial Fair and “Lethal Passage” about sinking Lusitania.

No surprises but e is a good storyteller so I’m enjoying

I'm rereading Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. A bit of a "high brow" take on magic in an alternate history of 19th century England.

A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles. It's a re-read but one of my favorites.

I love Le Carre's work. He worked for MI5, and MI6, and became a full time writer after his cover was compromised by Kim Philby. The Spy Who Came in From the Cold is an incredible work, and if you like it I suggest you read Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.

I pulled out my Lord Of The Rings to check on a section I was curious about. Then another and another and I’m back to reading it cover to cover.

I've recently read 3 of John Grisham's book, The tattooist of Auschwitz, a couple of Val McDermid's and have just ordered 4 more of hers.

And a biography of Jack kid Berg who was one of my dad's favourite fighters, tangling with the best fighters in the world nearly 100 years ago.

Getting ready for a trip to Tokyo, plus a favorite story told a new way.
