An American friend begins to take an interest in vintage watches, but he does not know who could service his watches.
do you know a good vintage watchmaker based in the usa or better still in florida?

ps: sorry if the subject has already been discussed, I did not find the thread.

Zaf Basha at www.classicwatch.com has been super helpful for work on my watches, from simple services to trickier issues... super honest and fair pricing (based in the US in D.C.).

I’ve used Shami Fine Watchmaking in Fairfield, NJ and was happy with them. I haven’t had experience with too many watchmakers but I think their pricing is probably on the high side. They can service any watch. I just purchased a Seamaster 321 caliber and they can get the parts and will service it. I’ve read that many watchmakers won’t.

A more reasonably priced option is Tim Mackrain (Omega Addict) in AZ. Bought a few watches from him and having one serviced now.
