Vintage Speedmaster watchmaker recs (US)?

Hi all - first post, and I’d appreciate the collective wisdom here.
I have a 145.022-71 Speedmaster Professional (cal. 861, serial 32204406, tritium dial, 1479/2-73 bracelet). It’s a family piece and I’d like to keep it as original as possible.
Last Sunday it got water damaged. Heavy condensation under the crystal within the hour. I got it to Grand Central Watch in Manhattan within about 48 hours for an emergency dry-out (~$245). Watch is back, dry, running. Dial looks clean to my eye - no visible spotting or staining. No mention of corrosion in what they told me.
Their recommendation is a full service ASAP, quoted at $1,800+. They also said it’ll likely stop running in 2–3 months without one.
My questions:
1. I know it needs a service regardless - the seals were clearly long dead and the movement is almost certainly running on very old oil. But is $1,800+ in line for a cal. 861 overhaul, or is that the NYC premium I’ve read about in threads here?
2. Can anyone recommend a watchmaker in the US who’s good with vintage Speedmasters and will respect originality? My priorities are: no case polishing, no dial or hand replacement, original parts returned. Happy to ship.
3. Given it’s dry and running, is there any real urgency, or can I take a few weeks to find the right person?
Thanks in advance - I’ve learned a lot lurking here over the last few days

I can’t speak to the quality of their (Grand Central) work but their prices seem extremely high

1. $1800's excessive, imo. Half that at very most.
2. Donovan Paradise at Paradise Time Service here in Indiana. Best watchmaker around (obv I'm horribly biased, but his work got my retired-watchmaker father's stamp of approval).
3. If it had an emergency dry-out, there's probably not all that much that'll keep getting worse, at least for awhile.

Much closer to you. He's a member here, plus other members have had their watches serviced by him. I have not, but I met him in person and am comfortable in suggesting him.

I use USA Watch Service in Dover, NH. Haris is a good guy.
