Just wanted to gather a bunch of reputable watch makers on here with a decent turn around time & decent pricing. I have a 1999 Speedy that will need service, it’s running a little fast (+7 in all positions) if I’m not mistaken along w needing service, oil new seals etc (no polish needed). Thanks for everyone input.

It would help if we knew your location.

No point in suggesting a U.K. watchmaker if you're in Australia.

If it is a fairly modern Speedmaster and no visual parts need to be replaced, I would take to Omega.

I know Rolex gives you the option of no polish but unsure of Omega.

If you want to go the independent route I would suggest LA Watchworks. I am not from the US but I have heard good things.

Thank you for the suggestion but I chose to take it to Alex Akexyon @ IWW.com. He did one of my previous watches for me in the past and didn’t think of using him at the time I had posted this but I’m sure he can work on the 1863 movement.

I will. Alex did a watch of mine last year, so will be interesting to see what the ending result will be on the 1863 movement. I told him anything close to -2+2 great ! Needs a service being it’s a 484xxx serial if I recall it being a 1999.

If you want to keep it in the US I've never heard anything bad about Nesbits. If you're comfortable sending it Canada Archer has many fans on this forum. http://www.archerwatches.ca/service.html

Also another reason I chose Alex over a few other places other than his reputable services on other watch forms is his prices. Full service quotes for the omega seem to be $750 or so when I called around. I do have have a local guy somewhat near me who has serviced my R brand watches but he is usually back logged so figured give IWW a try.

If you are in Florida check Rik Dietel (Time Care, Inc http://www.timecareinc.com). He is in Seminole, Florida and is a very reputable watchmaker. He has an Omega account for parts and is certified by them (as well as by other brands; had worked on several of my Rolexes and Omegas). Highly recommended. :)

Rick is great, he is right by me yes. He did my previous Sub along my 16710. I plan to have him service my Kermit this summer.

Is this subject something you would consider sticky'ing?

I agree strongly but he is slammed ! So I didn’t want to bother him too much on the 3572, I really want him to service the Kermit more so w 0 polish.
