I was speaking with a salesman at one the larger jewelers in town a few years ago about used Rolex and he was saying that older mens 34mm Rolexes in stock configuration tend to move slowly, but if they swap out the dials and bezels for aftermarket bejeweled tackiness and put it in the ladies section- they fly out the door. To each their own.

A number of interesting things come to mind. The great design minds in Omega have used curves everywhere on the left and straight lines on the right.

OP proposes to mix those two design cues. Might work, but I think not.

I would doubt the dial furniture holes line up, so some customization there.

All in all, nothing money cant fix. Though I doubt it can be done successfully for less than the cost of exchanging the watch, one for the other.
I very much dount that the hour marker pegs of the new markers will fit the holes of the existing ones. That's why I think they will need to be glued. In touch with a few dial restoration/refurbishment compaines to enquire how much whay i'm proposing will cost to achieve.

But, I love everything about the 34mm AT apart from the baguette shaped indices. For me, the design is above any beyond a Rolex Oyster Perpetual for example. Its just that the 38mm AT is too large for my wrist, and I preferred the nod to the Seamaster 300m wavy dial, than the linear grooves of the regulat AT.

Glued hour marker indexes! Just what a watch of the quality of Omega doesn’t need!

In 50 years our children will be trying to decide if the OPs end result was prototype. That someone slipped out of the factory.

good luck with the mod, I’d be interested in what it looks like, maybe try get it mocked up in photoshop before you get too far into the project.

Itty bitty little pegs soldered to the markers than soldered to the back of the dial… by tiny tree elves.

Fortunately, this watch is a keeper. So it'll be our little secret.

In my experience, the feet on the indexes tend to be spaced similarly so I think there’s actually a pretty good chance they might work. Likely at least one will fit, which would give the markers stability. If the right adhesive in the right amount is used, it will be fine.

Anything can be done for $$s via Omega also.

I witnessed a buyer in Dubai have 4 POs made in red and black
instead of orange and black in 2013
$4000 extra each. Didn’t blink and confirmed order.

Ignoring the question whether it's possible or advisable, it's admirable to me that you (OP) have such a clear idea of what you like and the determination to see it done. As someone who is easily distracted by new shiny objects, I can’t help but admire you.

Git 'er done.
