The GS dials and hands are the best in the business, casework is also top quality. Enjoy your new watch!

I'm a big fan of the Spring Drive technology, I had a GMT SBGE227 with a very similar brownish dial, but in the four years I owned it it didn't get much wrist time, I chalked it up to the dial, it just didn't click with me. Traded it a few months ago for a blue Skyflake like the one pictured in @Redondo444 post, much happier now. I lost the GMT function but got a better dial for me. The constant accuracy of +1 second per week is mesmerizing.

My problem with a lot of GS is there’s too much going on, too many design ideas, too many features, too much on the dial and this one is really a good example of that. The clean brown dial in @Dr No ’s original post is definitely attractive but once power reserve, GMT and other things are added it starts looking a bit chaotic with the spring drive chronograph first generation being the absolute worst offender in that area.

that's absolutely true @dsio some are too busy. but for me the biggest flaw are the metal bracelets ... to big, wide, and heavy. i put a 60's bracelet on my whitebirch and hell i love it ....

I’m not a big Gs fan, but that chocolate dial does look rather nice indeed

Here's a macro with unavoidable reflections.

It runs a little fast out of the box, ~ + 10 sec/day.

Those lugs are just lovely, really adds to the whole package. 38 mm?
