Put on my Bulova A11 this morning but took this picture before putting it on. My Grandfathers type A2 flight jacket with the watch. Both date from approximately 1943 and he was likely issued a similar watch when issued the jacket. Jacket was worn while serving with the 13th US Army Air Force in the South Pacific.
Cool to have your Grandfathers flight jacket looks like he was a bombardier from the wings. My dad was a flight engineer and ball turret gunner on US Navy avengers torpedo aircraft and PBY's during WW2 gone now miss him. My dad was on the USS Bunker Hill when a kamikaze hit the flight deck on the invasion of Okinawa.

Thanks, You are correct about the bombardier. He was a bombardier on a B-24 13th airforce, 5th Bombardment Group "the Bomber Barons". Unfortunately, he is no longer with us as well and sorely missed. Sorry about about your dad but comparing what we are going throug to what your Dad and my Grandfather did seems to make things seems a little trival.

I have to correct my post from yesterday! Although made for a MoD contract for the RN (and sold as such from CWC!), it actually is coded for the Marines! I look at it as fortuitous, as I was needing a Marine watch in the collection

Lovely piece, must confess I could happily wear mine 24/7 if I didn't have other pieces.
