the clicks are a bit louder and more pronounced. Definitely not buttery smooth lol.

·Mine winds smoothly. In contrast, the 3861 that came with my Apollo 50th was very stiff for months before it became easy to wind. The new Sapphire Speedy is much easier.
i guess I’m comparing the wind to my Rolex Daytona which is my real gauge for “buttery smooth”. The Speedy will never feel like that but I prefer it that way as the manual wind movement is more of a unique experience to me.

Same here. The new 3861 is easy to wind. My Apollo 50th is still harder than the new one.

·I've handled a few 'bought and paid for' watches at dealers, but proper etiquette is not to remove any plastics, not wind it or play with any functions and certainly not try it on. In my view the OB was negligent in allowing this.

·Having never owned an 1861, I am very impressed with the 3861 so far. I checked the power reserve, which was actually 65.5 hours. Even better, the watch seemed to continue performing within its specs until at least hour 62 (when I went to bed).

·Thank you for your detailed post. I am actually another owner of a 3861 who after receiving the watch can not stand the taper of the band to buckle. I love the head of the watch with the stepped dial, painted Omega insignia which is different from all of the other sapphire versions, and the brushed bracelet. The 2mm extra taper is really unfortunate and before people go crazy over anyone saying that, please wait until you actually see the watch in person. I have owned and sold three previous Speedys over the years and thought that with the new movement and changes to the watch it would be a keeper but alas, it won't be. I only have one spot for NATO strapped watches and my Blancpain Hodinkee Milspec takes that position.
Does anyone know if a 1171 bracelet can accommodate the proper end links to use with the 3861?

·One thing that I haven't seen come up in reviews yet but I will mention is that the perfect fit of this new bracelet for me falls on the outer versus inner micro adjustment. The issue is that the end clasp link has a taper and is not flush so the bracelet looks a bit off compared to all the other Speedy bracelet. Please see below:
Not the end of the world but my preference would be to ditch that little notch and have the link be uniform in width.
Thanks for pointing this out! That end link is a huge fail not to mention the extreme taper of the bracelet...It’s looking like a non-starter for me.

·anyone have idea which bracelet will fit the new Snoopy? that's weird but i've supposed the case of Apollo 11 50TH was the same of the new Speedy , Same of the Snoopy...

It's a no-go. Ed White on the right, 2021 Speedy on the left:
The end link on the Ed White sticks out too much from the bottom still. That thing is like a fitted key. I am sure The bracelet could fit, but it would not be perfectly flush with the case and would stick out a bit on the bottom.

Daytona winding sure feels better than the 3861, but it is not as good as some of the Grand Seiko movements or Panerai movements. This may come as a surprise to some 😲
That said, the new 321 winding feels fantastic.
