·That is a beautiful example of an A-11. All that I have found have flaking chrome or have been recased.
Nasty cracked crystal kept most away from it and I got it for a steal- smoothest hand winder I have-like silk.
I had the same problem you did with finding a decent A11. Finally broke down and bought it from a collector who specialized in them and it came fully serviced and near flawless- but I paid a premium for it. No regrets, it’s spectacular and it’s mine.

Spectacular is an appropriate word in this case. If you don't mind sharing, what did you pay? $1000? No problem if you want to keep that to yourself.
