No longer mine but having just read the sellers remorse post it thought I'd post it here too. A beautiful IWC WWW on the strap it was issued with date stamped 1945. I must have had a rush of blood to part with it 🤬

I own a lot of vintage military issued watches. But never got issued one when I did 22 years in the US Navy here is the Seiko 7458 quartz diver I bought at the ships store in 1982 and used it until I retired in 2002. In a sort of way you can say this Seiko served in the US Navy I started out with a citizen automatic diver but it did not last long it could not take the beating but the Seiko did. Still own that Seiko today and wearing it today.

I know that this is not a military watch but hopefully a picture of a nice watch with a self-propelled gun in the background is "political correct" for this thread?

I promise to wear an issued military watch in my next post in this thread 😉

CWC 79 last year of mechanical issue military british watches

Not quite - mechanical W10's were issued in 1980 and mechanical chronos up to 1982.
