This was my TDMP - beautiful watch! I’ve often felt the 2471 was the best reference, what are other peoples’ favourites?

From my perspective the bigger (37mm) tdmp 2486 is more wearable on a "normal" wrist. I just don't like the style of the 2485 so 2486 is my pick here.

For me with a wristsize of only 16.5-17cm it just looks more appealing - even though the smaller variants like 2471, 2473 & 2606 are still fine to wear on smaller wrists (like mine) with their 35mm diameter.

The bigger iteration has just slightly more wrist presence which I personally like and prefer.

I have a 16.5cm wrist, and I wear watches from 32mm-38mm generally. With a preference at around 34mm. Generally I like my dress watches discrete, and my sport watches larger. A moonphase watch is quite hard to categories, but I decided it was a dress watch so for me the smaller the better! That said it's fussy dial led me not to wear it so much - so I sold the one above earlier this year. I think if I get another in future, I'll be looking for a gold one - maybe the 2473 you reference, that might be worth a punt, or another brand entirely...

Different brand is hard to find for a tdmp.

Did some research but there was no brand which came close to the omega tdmps from my pov.. Rolex Padellone is out of reach at least for me and tbh I still like the Omega ones better (e.g. form of date hand)

These Keystone/Trematic ones are nice, and not too difficult to find in NOS condition. Also quite large at 37-38mm IIRC.

And here a black 2606 in - from my pov - good condition.
Forget about the crown and crystal - will be replaced hopefully sooner than later when I've found the right watchmaker ;-)

How I'd wish - still regret (and will forever) my mistake on the silver 2486 from the Auction house in Mülheim.

We all make them! I try not to dwell, as hard as it is sometimes 😀
