Vintage triple date moonphase chronographs have started to grow on me.... They're really beautiful.
Wondering what the movements are and whether some of them are considered better (aside of course from UG tri-compax).
Also --whoever has any, will you show us your watches?

Thanks and best regards,
S

Here are my triple dates. They don't fill all of your requirements but they are still fun.
Zodiac triple date moon phase caliber 74. Automatic.

Wakmann triple date chronograph Valjoux caliber 72c (edit cal 730). Manual

I've recently fallen for vintage TDMs too. Movement-wise I'm after a self-winding Felsa Bidynator cal. 693. They came in several jewel counts from 17 through 25. They can be found in several brands but I gravitate toward the Breitlings and the Vulcains, though the Breitlings seem to be pricey.

I recently bought this Hyde Park manual TDM for my mom. I don't know much about it but I love the numerals.

IIRC my watch, similar size, can't remember the company, came with Felsa 693 bidynator movements, and the wakmann pictured is a valjoux 730? The Gigandet came with the true 72c, with the Wakmann dialed watches coming with the 730 variant coming later in the 60's or so.

Ok the JLC is two years old and not a chrono but I love the moon phase complication in a classic triple date. Plus my beloved tri's.

Not a chrono, but... This Trematic TDMP was sometimes branded "Keystone." Most of the examples on the market are NOS or nearly so. I don't know if these watches were ever marketed... I suspect someone came across a cache of unsold watches in a warehouse somewhere. Stainless steel, 37mm. Felsa Bidynator cal 693. Can sometimes be had around $500.

Beautiful and awesome... Exactly the kind of non name branded watch that makes me love collecting... 😀

Jaeger Lecoultre made some of the best moonphases during the 1940's-1950's. Second picture is not a moonphase - but there was a moonphase version of it.

I’m surprised we haven’s seen a single Cosmic Moonphase yet.

Oh wow, gents your watches are just fantastic -- every single one of them.
THANKS for sharing them !

And somehow I didn't get any alerts you posted so this is like a surprise bonanza!!
Boy, those Zodiac, Tri-compaxes, the LeCoultre.... and what's so nice is that the lesser known brands are just as beguiling.
That "trematic" is just spotless!

Wondering whether they're a blessing or a curse....

Edit - I'll add this one I found on Ebay and which I really like but too much budgetwise.
(plus it has no shock protection, enough with that....)

Gotta be a blessing. If they get out of adjustment then ...

... well it'd be worth it to keep an example or two in good order.

The only triple date watch in my collection:

UG is not for the faint of heart anymore. Expensive to buy and repair. But.....just look at that dial........
