My Omega cosmic triple date moonphase
Beautiful. But you’re clearly using the date functions just for decoration, as it indicates Tuesday July 30th.
I’ll admit I never bothered to use those functions on my Mido datometer.
Unless you’re recycling a picture from a couple years ago?

Hi Syrte
Thank you.
The picture is from 30th of June, I always set and use the date and moonphase correctly
Cheers,
Daniel

Kudos, You’ll have to teach me how to set my Datometer! I only use it for the time and its nice roulette look.
It’s neither triple date nor moonphase but the red detailing was just so appealing and unusual on a watch which appears to be from the late 40s or early 50s.

Unfortunately, even my inexperienced eye is coming to that conclusion as well. I started by making a first pass and narrowed it down to about 8 for closer inspection. But as I look closer and closer I'm realizing why most of the estimates are about 1/5th what they should be for quality pieces.
The guru aka @cristos71 says so as well 😀

All nice, but didn't see one Breitling...
...And I’m not sure if you have seen one yet.

One needs to very careful with vintage Breitlings.

This one, at best, is a redial. Since Breitlings of that era (1940’s) had generic movements, they are very easy to fake.

I know it’s not a chronograph or a moonphase but it’s a nice movado tripledate I have coming soon.

I think this is a bit tough this 😲
We’ve all got to start somewhere!
I’ve had a read over this members posts and can’t see what the problem is. He’s chipped in on numerous threads but so what, it’s a forum, that’s the point isn’t it ?
Or as a new member myself am I not allowed to say this ? :whipped:

Being somewhat new to the watch scene, these vintage triple date watches are quickly becoming my favorite in terms of looks.

Dear @Flip welcome to the forum, and of course you’re allowed to say that- and yes everyone has to start somewhere.

You should not feel shy about discussing the watches or other topics in which you have an interest.

Just understand if people post 35 times in four hours saying “this is nice” or “it must be nice to wear a leather strap” that will shows every sign of being a race to inflate post count artificially— in order to sell a watch. That is forbidden by forum rules, I think it leaves quite a bit of room for self expression, many newcomers have no problem with that.

Members here are usually very welcoming, especially if they see someone has made an effort at doing some “homework” before asking questions. There are many answers already in existence on the forum.
