Hi All. First time post here. My father recently gave me my grandfathers Omega. As He said it had never been serviced I sent it off to omega here in OMAN. It then went to Dubai and on to Switzerland. I was provided a very long list of repairs which is below and am due to receive it back in 10 days. Omega have stated it is a national fabrication and provided this statement. As per Omega when a watch is a National Fabrication, that means that the movement/machine is an Omega but that the case was created in the country of origin of the watch by an independent jeweler and hence they didn’t have any information regarding the age and value of this product. I have just paid 640 dollars for a full restore. Was or is the above practice common.? Does it mean it’s fake? Are they worthless? I’m ya a solid gold woven strap and case. Will post pictures when it comes back
I'm sure we would be very interested to see both before and after photos. You need to click on "insert photo" to include them in your post.
No before photos. But face looks the mans watch and bracelet woven like the ladies but thick like a mans.
Hi Dan. Just got the watch in question back from Switzerland. Both Omega shop here and HQ saying watch not fake but case made elsewhere and they would not have repaired otherwise. Thoughts on the watch welcome.
