Was blessed to have the opportunity to handle a pink gold, white gold, yellow gold (capped) and steel constellation at the same time. I own the steel and gold capped while the pink gold was sold not too long ago. The white gold? well i'll let one of our very own show and tell when the time is right.

1959 Constellation 14381 that I am having restored. This watch originally had the special order factory luminous package which consists of a special low profile crystal, the radium lume dots that you see on top of the arrowhead markers and a special set of dauphine hands with larger cutouts for luminous material. So far I’ve had the old crown, crystal and second hand replaced with the correct Omega OEM parts.

Now looking for the hour and minute hands. I’ll find them eventually and, when completed, this will be one of only a few examples that I know of with this dial configuration and it should look something like this (photo credit: TexOmega):

A fantastic watch that deserves the best.
1. When you mention the "special low profile crystal", are you thinking of the classic standard crystal?
This connie still has it, it is beautiful.
2. Are these the kind of hands you are going after? (In steel or WG, of course)

I’m not sure whether the correct crystal for this particular version of the 14381 is the “classic” crystal to which you refer. What I can tell you is that it doesn’t have much of a raised side at the outside edge and is nearly flush with the bezel almost like a very slightly domed sapphire crystal. As for the hands, yes, those are the ones, particularly the hour hand with the large triangle for lume. No luck finding them so far. 🙁 This is what the watch looked like when I acquired it last year from my friend and really great OF member TheGreekPhysique:

Recently acquired this full set Connie, complete with the original purchase receipt from AAFES. Would appreciate any help on how to find more about the original owner. Not putting the original receipt here as I’m not sure of the modalities. Are full sets common in Connie’s (don’t think so) like they are with Rolexes?

Not common but they do pop up now and then.

Here my 168.005 / 564 from '67 that has joined last week. Dial and hands are absolutely spotless, the champagne sunburst dial is amazingly eye catching which makes me believe they have been changed recently, but no information of that kind from the seller. And I got the Onyx inserts I was longing for ! 🥰🥰 Minor opening scratches on the case back, but the stars and observatory are in stunning condition.
Started checking the running : very strong once fully wound ( 280 to 290 in several positions), and so far +0/+2 sec / day over the last 3-4 days ; to me, it is an amazing performance for a nearly 60 years old movement, but it will anyway undergo a service, as I want to have a good starting point for its coming years.
