Were do you find these if not behind a computer? Network of collectors? Flea market? I am at the beginning of the journey, and would love to not rely on internet so much, get a bit more practical experience but having a hard time to find other ways...

SS Connie (ref. 168.010), just bought it from Davidswiss on the private watch sales.
Any tips on how to see if the markers are onyx or black paint (the serial number starts on 24 so it may be black paint, as I read here). Great thing in any case!

168.010s with black inserts are generally onyx and it is easy to tell if the inserts are onyx.
If they have a ridge and some depth they are onyx, if inserts are flat and have no depth, it is paint.
