Looks pretty good; "hidden crown" 168.004. It has the "Swiss Made T" variant at the bottom (there's a thread here about that). The big but of course is that you need to be pretty cynical about ANY black-dialled Constellation. Maybe you'll get more clues when you see the innards. Keep us posted! And welcome to the forums.

that's true
i got a black crosshair dial constellation from ebay, did not realize it was redial until a few years later
the ebay seller at that time said the watch has been verified authentic by omega staff at NJ, so i fell for that
op's dial looks relatively better / more legit then mine, not sure if factory original or meticulous refinish
some experts already said that there is probably no factory black constellation ever released
here it is the lesson learnt --

Hoping some of you may be able to ease my mind on this piece, a friend bought it at an auction but it isn’t his style so he’s offered it to me. As with an auction I’m not certain of authenticity and I haven’t seen under the bonnet (will soon). So a few things, the cyclops doesn’t look right to me, possible aftermarket? And the crown also doesn’t look original to me but I just don’t know! Here are the photos I have, let me know your thoughts! Thank everyone

This isn’t really the thread for analysing watches (much better to start your own thread) but a quick response would be.
Dial might be ok but impossible to be certain without better pictures.
Crown looks fine.
Cyclops crystals were special order
The case is quite heavily polished and has lost its facets
The medallion is heavily polished.
Take clear straight on pics of the dial with the hands away from the text and crosshairs and post them in a new thread, for more comments.
if correct, a black cross hair Connie would be nice to have but I wouldn’t pay a premium for this watch unless you were going to transplant the dial into a better case.

Which experts said there was no factory black Constellation ever released?

you beat me to it
I don't know who these experts are but they should be directed here for 're-education' 😉

to be fair, the majority of black-dialled Omegas you see out there didn't leave the factory looking like that but to say there were none is very, very wrong

Please just accept this information and forward your apparently redialed black hobnail example to me, will you? 😁

Omega constellation jumbo 37mm, cal 561; ss and gold cap. I think I should change the crown for ss one.
At the first glance, those look nothing special. However, from the moment you got those 37mm pieces on your wrist, you would know those were the gems.

Brand new to the forum here. Thought I'd share my fairly new addition to the collection with everyone. Just acquired the BoR bracelet for it (and I'm loving it). Any thoughts on how to cure the gap between the case and end links (they are the larger 70 links) would be appreciated.

my new addition, always want a no date version, this one with mixed markers (3,6,9,12 are onyx, while the others are painted)

Nice! Which endlinks do you have on the BOR? And the strap - Marburger? Or another brand?
