...constellations coming and going. Sometimes polished, but correct dials. Only one stayed.

1963 Stainless steel Constellation, 167.005 case and a cal 551. Bought this and had it serviced and I am now scared to wear it in case damage it! might have to sell it on and go back to a cheaper watch I don't care so much about. This is by far the nicest I have owned.

I have shown this watch earlier. It belongs to a friend of mine. I have a plan... and I am working on it regularly. It is just a matter of time. I am wearing him down slowly.

Just so no one should feel sorry for my friend - yesterday he wore three watches during the day (special occasion).
The other two were:

So this is my first vintage Omega I ever bought around a year ago now, and this is the first picture I think I posted on the forum to show it off! It's quite rare that I get a chance to show too much.........

It's a 1966, Cal 564

And again on its BOR........

Here are my Jumbo Cal 561 Ref 14777s, produced mainly for the Japanese market and the forerunner to the 168.001. Desmond recently wrote about this reference in his blog.

I wish I had a friend like that... That would be a real Grail.

The only photos of the movement that I took unfortunately did not include the entire (or even the beginning of) the serial number. Oh well. I need my watchmaker to open it with his vise.

But here is the case back.

Edit:
I do have a 7-year-old photo I saved, originally from the seller from whom I bought this. The SN is 16,170,XXX, so that dates it to the 1958-60 range I think, probably OK for a 1961-cased watch?
