I only have these two hummers. They get a lot of wrist time surprisingly. It's unbelievable how accurate they are after 40 plus years.

I really like that black dial! Reminds me of the Millennium Falcon going into hyperspace.

That a quartz should be accurate is not amazing, it's normal. Amazing is the caliber 504 on my daily wear Connie. I haven't actually measured how much it gains or loses, but I only set it every 3-4 weeks and it's never off by more than a minute. Considering this model doesn't have a hacking second, I think that's amazing.

Amazing in a different way is how inaccurate some cheap quartz is.

As bought condition, SS dog-leg piepans only, in line for a trip to the spa. 2 references, 3 different case manufacturers, 3 calibres and 7 dial variants. A few other non doglegs or non piepans not shown, and still many more dogleg piepans variants not owned yet.

Hi @TNTwatch little late, but 3 different case manufacturers you mention... Can you elaborate on that a bit?

I noticed one your watches (and I've noticed this before with other dog legs) that the 'slope' of the bevel on the lugs is at a sharper angle on some lugs (see watches on the second row on the zoom in below), are there perhaps more tell tale signs?

3 case makers are CB, HF and SGR. There are slight variations even within the same makers that can only be seen more clearly on hand than in pictures. Perhaps I need a few dozens more examples to document them all 馃槈

All of them have that slope at an angle on the lugs - the main differentiation to counterfeit cases.

Thanks, I didn't know about the 3.

What I meant to say (with my perhaps crappy English) is that this angle seems to differ a bit on the watches:

I understood what you meant. That angle varies slightly even within the same maker - CB in this case 馃槈 Camera angle can make it look different also, but all are at an angle, not perpendicular to the 12 o'clock axis.
