I finally get to post in this thread. Over the years I've been ensnared with silver pie pan Constellations but never bought one due to all the obvious pitfalls as a novice. I've learned a lot from the forum and of course all the online resources from member @mondodec . But thanks to @JohnSteed I actually have my very own silver pie pan! Ref 168.005 Cal 564 It was born in 1966, same as me. I hope you enjoy some photos. I'm loving the watch! Last image reflecting this:
Pulled this one out to look at today, it hardly sees the light of day. I think a new pair of shoes may cause me to wear it more. Black Gator maybe.... Edit: since this is a reference thread 14900-62 Cal 551 Serial # 19mil
Ok mods, @cicindela @DLT222 @dsio as a good friend like saying...can close Excellent example to close the thread
Please do not be intimidated by MSNWatch's post. It is meant to discourage you from even bothering to seek or collect such watches. You have to endeavor to persevere Please remember these immortal words of Chief Dan-George:
Now....can close Was waiting for a legitimate way to ape the phrase is all .... LoL Tbh the thread is meant as a sticky to help guys like me avoid buying a piece of **** Connie Mission Accomplished
Thanks to your help with this thread and the private sales area I dodged that bullet and I couldn't be happier!
I dunno, we might need an even more explicit "How to avoid the noob tax" sticky or something. Lord knows I wish I'd seen it in 2011.
Just in case someone decides to close this thread ( please don't ! ) I'd like to present my own meagre offering In order of purchase: SS 168.005 cal 564 BoR 25,25xx
