Bulova (serial L8 so it is essentially a 1958 watch. Case 10k Rolled Gold Plated, movement should be a Cal 10P, sorry my guess on caliber since I did not yet open entirely this front loader case but just bezel and crystal)

My Rotary radium lume black dialed surprise. It came with a lot of watch making tools. Contains a AS 1686 movement.

I wonder if is radium in lume materials responsible for this kind of white spots? My Omega black dial shown below is a 18M serial, ca 1960, so quite sure lume is radium, this ref 14390 dial contains also lot of white spots like you Rotary.

It probably is. Could be due to particles letting loose from the lumed parts. But it could also be due to moisture ingress, which causes wear on the dialpaint. Nice Bulova by the way馃憤

I could of course post one of the vintage Speedmasters I own... but how about this instead?
