10H10, you must be single-handedly buying up at least half the worthwhile UG's in the market! 馃槈 #respect
About 15 years ago I saw a Tri-Compax and I tought that it was one of the best looking and technical watch I've ever seen, for such a low price ! So I dedicated myself in getting as many as I could before they become untouchable...
And the fact that they were made in the 40' era turns me on, what a history !

For a bomb timer - probably not the cairelli you are thinking of

Hi all,

Any thoughts on this originality/authentic? To my limited knowledge I think it's a redial at subdial at 9. The date 31 is red in most others. The logo under 12 is smaller/shorter than others I've seen & without 茅. The movement doesn't have movement number or logo inscription & looks too new? Is it a fair price?

I'm going with "pretty good re-dial." I don't like the script, and I don't like the radial orientation of numbers in the seconds sub-dial, among other things. If I'm right and it's a re-dial, I would say someone paid a little too much. And the days and months are, of course, speaking different languages.

I note that one of the plates is marked Leonidas (who also made these). It suggests to me that it's a box of bits and the list of people that it would be useful to is a very short one.

I saw two pristine gold tri-compax in a Paris shop and fell in love. Coolest things I'd ever seen. Could not get the owner to part with them as he thought the US not a good place to get them serviced. I know how you feel. I now own one and a UNI.

For me to learn more about authentic vs. redials & price is fair can you help evaluate these. Thanks 馃榾
1. ref. 12286. $2800. I've never seen this dial before. Is it Franken? The day seems redial as 10-22 doesn't turn opposite the 24-8. The logo seems sloppy.
2. with gold bracelet $5625. Franken? The day & month are in different languages - was that normal? How come the movements seem so pristine?
3. $2750. This is only one I think is authentic.
4. $3150. Dial seems to new for a 1960 watch. How come the movements seem so pristine?
I would suggest that you create a new thread for this so that this one doesn't get bogged down

+1 wrong crown, sub-second/date hand as well
