looks unpolished and all-original, but overpriced even considering the current market. It's a nice watch though, so it's up to you. If you are set on getting it, I would try to haggle it down as much as you can.
I thought so too.. What do you think a good price on this would be? The one thing I was hesitant on is the crown.. replacement or no? Most references I've checked seem to have a lower-profile crown on them. And pending more pictures, I'll be able to check out the movement and caseback to get ref #'s on that to make sure all checks out.

To put things in perspective, Fabrizio Caso, whose watches usually have a 50% or 70% premium, was asking around 3200 eur for one of these. This one is in better condition, but...

Looks ok to me. At the very least, period correct

Yes, a given, but looking at the condition of the watch, I'm willing to bet eveything will check out.

Any views on this - I find myself drawn to it and I'm not sure that's a good thing. I think I've seen Henrique Pfeffer UGs before but I'm obviously nervous about the whole Tiffany/Cartier/Cuervo y Sobrinos thing.

I've asked the seller a few questions and for some higher resolution pictures. I was in Caracas on business last year and I'm conscious that this experience probably adds to the draw.

I don't think anyone is going to fake a Pfeffer inscription (although the Interwebs are a big place and there is probably a community of fanatical Pfeffer collectors somewhere)

I like it as well and agree with Lou, unlikely Pfeffer pfake.
I'm guessing only 33-34mm or so, not a deal breaker perhaps, but something to consider...

Size would only worry me if it went below 32mm or so - even then it wouldn't be my smallest. 34-35 would be the sweet spot.

Love to see pics

Oddly enough a mate has a Rolex 18K president full set with an Iraqi dial in NOS condition from the 80s that belonged to one of Saddam's head guys put in charge of Kuwait during the invasion. Factory Rolex job rather than something done after the fact, which makes it all the more interesting. He's had it in a safe for two decades as nobody will ever buy it, he can't ever wear it, and having RSC swap it for a normal dial would be a waste of a piece of history.

The description says "restored dial in amazing shape"... so struggle no more. 😉
Thanks, I am really bad at reading the fine print, quasi ADT....

Yep, struggle no more! The giveaway for me, and maybe there's an easier way to tell, is the 2nd timezone subdial numbers are just wayy too dark and "blotty" looking compared to everything else. Thinking that one was certainly re-done which brings question to the rest of the dial, which likely has other parts re-done. Take a look at this pic.

Bracelet looks a little weird to me. Looks roughly like a Gay Freres bracelet made for later tricompaxes and compaxes, but it's American made? The links and the end pieces look different from examples I've seen as well. Thoughts?

Photo courtesy of Phillips Watch Auction of correct Gay Freres bracelet:

The bracelet is made by JB Champion rather than GF. These were made in the USA and are entirely correct for these references.

Not on eBay but, have been in talks with a dealer on this one.. I've tried to verify and looks pretty good to me, but I want the experts to weigh in on originality of this piece. The seller wants 4,000€ for it. Thoughts?? (I've asked seller for more photos, so stay tuned..)

All original, and those micro-subdial Medicos are a rare variant, especially with the luminous hands and in a SS case. For a standard Uni-Compax, I'd agree that 4k is excessive. For this one... well, maybe not so far off base with a little negotiating.

Yes, a quite nice redial. Crowns have been replaced.

The dial seems redone to me: the minutes numbers are not in front of the indicators.
I have serious doubts but just wanted to get the OF double check.

Confirmed?

Not an eBay one but Auctionata.

That dial appears to be 100% original.

I've noted your arrows and concern, but don't really understand what you're suggesting it ought to look like.
