Hi Omega Community,

As someone new to the world of watches, I've been doing some research and came across a listing for an Omega Geneve that caught my attention and bought it. The watch was listed as in mint condition but after researching similar listings the minute hand seems off to me i.e. longer than similar listings.
Features:
  • Analogue Display
  • 24J Automatic Cal. 552 Movement
  • Acrylic Crystal
  • Stick Hands & Indices
  • Stainless-steel Case & Black Leather Strap
  • Screw-down Case Back
  • 1960-65
  • Case Size: 35 mm
  • Case Thickness: 9 mm
  • Lug Width: 18mm
Based on my limited knowledge and research, the watch dial appears to be redone. However, I would greatly appreciate it if anyone with more expertise could take a look at the attached photos and provide their insights.
Your help and advice would be invaluable in making an informed decision in returning/keeping the watch.
Thank you all for your time and assistance!

Best regards,
Roh

I don't see any issues, looks legit and original. There was a huge variety of dials offered on these.

Nice condition but certainly not mint.

BTW, you've done far better than way too many first time posters.

Everything looks completely original and the dial, while not often seen, has been used on a couple of Omega models.
The "mint" condition is probably due to some light polishing/tarting up by the seller.

The seller's description probably added to the cost if you were paying by the word.

If i'm not mistaken (and there are far more experienced members on this, i happily stand corrected): the 'o' on the rotor means its a replacement rotor. That would certainly be no dealbreaker for me, but it's an indication that something has happened to the movement once, and they made it work again.

Just quietly step back and walk out of the room and pretend you never raised the subject.
