hello guys,

not on ebay but may could help some of you (no idea of prices anyway..)

I was about to post this also. I contacted the seller and he has around 20-30 different dials. He's waiting for the best offers for the lot or by piece. I will post the pictures as soon as I have his permission. Plus be advised that I don't have the professional eyes some/most of you have. Which means be careful with authenticity.

I agree that the bracelet looks a bit odd. This case style was mainly kitted out with a Unisonic movement - obviously it's possible that the resemblance is superficial and that the case/lug sizes are different but I doubt it. I have the Unisonic and the lugs are 18mm and the bracelet (which came off a different Unisonic but with the same case) fits perfectly - perhaps with the caveat that it doesn't perfectly follow the angular shape of the lugs.

And this is where the bracelet came from.

Based on this advert that I've seen for sale on Ebay (I must get a copy one day) I believe it to be the correct bracelet for the case.

Judging by the number of 17mm NOS OEM straps on Ebay UG clearly made lots of watches with 17mm lugs and possibly either your bracelet or endpieces were originally destined for one of those - or they've been filed down for some inexplicable reason?

Good luck with sourcing replacement endpieces as you'll need it- there seems to have been a bit of a feeding frenzy with UG bracelets of late but that's probably more the case with the 19/20mm lug ones. I see that there's a Melbourne-based Ebay seller that seems to have a stock of UG bracelets but I can't see that he has what you need.

This is mine Unisonic at sea...

No affiliation with seller and I'm not a UG fanboy just yet, but I noticed this on the French chronomania forum going for 2200 euros. Don't know what the prices are for UG subs, but maybe someone's interested.

On the Aero Compax--redial to my eye, at least a few of the subdials and the outer numbering.. Maybe some polishing of the case as well. I'm not a full on expert, but this is just my opinion!

I also think it is a redial, but I am far from being an expert to say with confidence.

2200E is a decent price. The watch looks original and it has the box. If it had the original GF UG bracelet, I would say it would easily be worth 3k.

The watch is listed on eBay as well. The seller say that the dial has been "restored" in his listing.

so you did OK.

that's always good to hear 😀

Is there anyone that could make a display case back? The movement just looks too nice to hide under there.

Thanks for your detailed post! Your watch is in great condition. The endlinks definitely look a bit mangled, and the case of your unisonic looks the same as the case on the III i bought. Is the bracelet on your watch signed? The only thing that makes me think the bracelet on the one I bought is incorrect is the different logo.

Another one on chronomania. 600 euros with UG bracelet, reads like a good deal to me. Again, I am not affiliated with these sellers... Just sharing the love.

The watch is one of the few Ebay examples of the watch being in better condition than described in the sales post. I don't have any pictures to hand of the inside of the bracelet clasp - I'll be able to correct that later in the week. It is signed on the outside.

I've just had another look at the Ebay listing of yours - the bracelet seems to have some sort of divers extension. Either that, again, suggests that it isn't the right bracelet or that was the nearest one to hand from the parts bin as it left the factory.

The watch arrived today.

The divers extension is strange. It is like spring loaded into the clasp, so the bracelet gracefully extends or contacts when required. Its actually quite clever, I'm surprised I haven't seen it in a modern watch.

I've taken couple of (bad) pictures to show the clasp fully extended in case anyone's interested.

I'd say dial is good, but not the cleanest. Price is ridiculous.

I would say clean...clean off with the tachymeter!

Quite worn on edges, tachy is almost non existent. hence my evaluation (could not see swiss). it is nice but no where near 10K nice. i prefer steel. an image of my tri-compax panda with new dial ... pity about the second hand but that is a long term project. Eventually I should find one!
