Beautiful case design, but from personal point of view the watch dial has been restored in the past. As far as I know these Colonial chronographs have been made only in the mid 30's. So the clean numerals on the outer ring looking later. Would like to hear some opinions from experts and longtime members. But for sure a fantastic and super rare watch! Price is very ambitious.
No clear straight on pic of the dial raises red flag for me. Also the seconds track print looks heavy at times / thin at times and cannot tell if properly aligned due to the angular pics. I would also say the dial has been restored.

Did anyone spot this one? I passed as the seller did not want to share clearer dial pics. https://www.ebay.it/itm/VTG-UNIVERS...vip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m43663.l44720Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

I'm not sure what is going on with this watch? How can you have a solid 14K (52412) reference on a SS caseback ? Did someone make up the caseback stamping?
